Republicans are looking to reclaim a U.S. Senate seat that was got rid of from them three years ago in once reliably red Alabama. Democratic Sen. Doug Jones faces a challenge from former college handler Tommy Tuberville 


Jones incorporates a 4-1 spending advantage. He became the primary Alabama Democrat elected to the Senate during a quarter century after defeating Roy Moore in 2017. 


ELECTION DAY: Six amendments on election ballot Six Statewide Amendments on Alabama Ballot

 Amendment One - Deals with language describing who incorporates a right to vote - Currently reads "every" U.S. citizen - Would change to "only" U.S. citizens - wouldn't change requirements for voting

 Amendment Two - Covers changes to the state system - Allows Alabama Supreme Court to appoint Administrative Director of Courts - Increases membership of Judicial Inquiry Commission

 Amendment Three - Covers appointed judges - Currently allowed to serve one year before they need to run election

Amendment Four - Seeks to get rid of racist language from the state constitution - Would allow state legislature to draft a rearranged version - That draft would return to voters for approval 

Amendment Five and 6 FIVE: regarding Franklin County, proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to produce that an individual isn't answerable for using deadly physical force in self-defense or within the defense of another person on the premises of a church under certain conditions. SIX: referring to Lauderdale County, proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to produce that an individual isn't accountable for using deadly physical force in self-defense or within the defense of another person on the premises of a church under certain conditions
